This product is a new type of winter sports products - a reinterpretation and development of the traditional snowshoe.

It combines hiking on a mountain with the subsequent “drive-down” in one product.

The conventional design of snow shoes has a main body, a bond (with axis) and claws.

All snowshoes on the market have the same function. They distribute the weight of the person over a larger area.

Therefore you sink less deep in the snow. My innovation permits you to not only walk with these snowshoes

but also glide down hill with them.

There are two main problems with existing snowshoes that makes gliding down hill impossible: The existing toe hole which is essential to be able to walk up and spikes or claws at the snowshoe base, which is needed to ascend safely down the mountain.

My solution to these two problems with conventional snowshoes is to combine these two functions into one. My design has a plate at the bottom of the snowshoe which is supported through edges or claw spikes, which are located on the bottom of uphill climbs and can be folded up with the help of a hinge on the front. The hinge is connected to the plate and the snow base body. The plate can be extended out to cover the entire toe hole. The covered toe hole and spikes, which are no longer on the snow base, make it possible for the underside of the snowshoe to be a “planing“ surface - hiving is born.
